Wii Fit is a full on exercise product set to give you more of a workout than Wii Sports, while still retaining all the fun of gaming. Wii Fit will help to keep you physically fit via a dedicated peripheral, a wireless balance board which comes with the game. There are over 40 different activities, including hula hooping, ski jumping and heading soccer balls.

Though Nintendo has been reluctant to refer to the Wii as a fitness solution, the company is certainly aware of the system's adoption into American fitness culture. While health-conscious groups have complained for years about how video games make kids lazy, Nintendo (whether intentionally or unintentionally) has managed to bridge the gap between the gaming and fitness communities. By capitalizing on that crossover appeal with the Fit bundle, sales of the Wii system could be propelled even further out of the stratosphere.

As of the beginning of May 2008, Wii Fit is the only game available for the Wii Balance Board but that will definitely change in the coming months. Namco Bandai has already confirmed the release of We Ski in the US on 13th May and 2k Sports have Don King's Prizefighter scheduled for June and the list will grow. In fact, Nintendo US COO, Reggie Fils-Aime, confirmed that over 10 games were already in development. No other games have been confirmed but there are already rumours spreading of Nintendo snowboarding, EA Skate, Rayman Raving Rabbids and even future Mario titles. In view of this, Wii Balance Board games are definitely going to be a big hit in 2008.
